Everything List

The Google Group "Everything List" is a forum for the discussion of whatever follows from the proposition that "everything exists".  As you might expect, this is a pretty wide remit.  The topic of consciousness comes up fairly frequently (as no doubt it will be doing in this blog). I'll start with a link to a discussion of a post I began on the "uncomputability of consciousness".  Be warned, there are quite a lot of acronyms and abbreviations, familiar to regular posters, e.g. 1-p = first-person, 3-p = third person etc, but hopefully these will become clear in context.  The post centres on the idea that first-person phenomena should be inaccessible to (i.e. "uncomputable by") any third-person process.  If so, given the tendency to explain our utterances in third-person terms, what are we actually referring to when we speak of them?
